Wastage of water in the form of pipeline breakage /leakage is a common problem in India to which no one pays any heed. A similar scenario was seen on 25th January 2010, in Jaipur at JDA market, when the water was flowing freely on road and the people especially the shop owners being aware, didn’t make any efforts to save water. But one of our E-cell members, Heena Garg took the immediate initiative and called the Plumber for the repair work. That member interacted with the people there and spread the awareness about water conservation and then even convinced the shop owners for the payment. The payment was given to plumber by contribution from all the shopkeepers.
